Gaydamak sells Zim lot in Tel Aviv for NIS 136m

Gaydamak bought the Zim lot from Mizrahi Tefahot Bank for NIS 119.6 million in October 2006.

Arcadi Gaydamak yesterday sold the Zim lot at 22 Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv for NIS 136 million. Real estate market sources say that the buyers is a consortium that includes Aviv and Company, headed by Doron Aviv and Dafna Harlev, and Magshimim Projects Ltd., owned by CEO Eyal Sapir and Doron Sahar.

Gaydamak bought the Zim lot from Mizrahi Tefahot Bank (TASE:MZTF) for $26 million in October 2006, when the shekel-dollar exchange rate was NIS 4.60/$, amounting to NIS 119.6 million.

The 1,861-square meter property was originally owned by Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. The lot is zoned for the construction of a 21-storey luxury office building. The lot also includes two buildings slated for preservation at 35 and 48 Lilienblum St., and another building at 39 Lilienblum St.

Gaydamak was not available for comment. A spokesman for Aviv and Company declined to comment, and the offices of Magshimim Projects refused to discuss the issue.
