A bulldozer, apparently driven through Jerusalem by an Arab man who went on a rampage, overturned cars and other vehicles, including a bus. One woman was killed and dozens were wounded in the attack. The wounded have been evacuated to hospitals.
The police confirmed that a terrorist drove a bulldozer on Jaffa Road.
The bulldozer had been used in work on the Jerusalem light rail.
The incident began near the Israel Broadcasting Authority Building on Jaffa Road. A policeman saw the bulldozer approaching the bus with the intention of hitting it with the blade. The policeman fired at the bulldozer's driver and hit him.
Jerusalem District Commander Police Maj.-Gen. Aharon Franco told Channel 2 News, "The driver overturned two buses. The driver was killed by a policeman. There are many wounded and apparently some dead."
There were at least 3 killed and about 36 wounded in the attack.
