The representative shekel-euro rate was up today, rising 0.2% to NIS 5.2893/€. The representative shekel-dollar exchange rate was down for a second day, falling 0.81% to NIS 3.302/$.

On Monday, the representative shekel-dollar exchange rate fell 1.509% to NIS 3.329/$. The representative shekel-euro rate also fell, by 1.029%, to NIS 5.2786/€.
The exchange rates had risen sharply over the past several days after the Governor of the Bank of Israel Prof. Stanley Fischer had announced on Thursday that the Bank of Israel would boost its pace of dollar purchases to $100 million per day. The Bank of Israel kept the total targeted dollar purchases at $35-40 million.
