Coca Cola Israel buys out Carlsberg Israel

Coca Cola Israel will buy the stake from the Carlsberg group for $36 million.

Central Bottling Co. Ltd. (Coca-Cola Israel) is making two dramatic moves. The first is the acquisition of the stake in Carlsberg Israel from the international group Carlsberg (KFX:CARL) for $36 million. The company will also acquire the Tuborg brewery in Turkey for $80 million, less debt. The deal in Turkey will be closed in the next few weeks after it is approved by the antitrust authorities in Turkey. This is the fourth territory that Coca-Cola Israel will operate in under the Carlsberg brands. Carlsberg Israel was founded in 1992. Three years later, Carlsberg Israel established Carlsberg Romania.
