The Bauhaus style building was used by a ministry in the years after independence.
Sources inform ''Globes'' that a French investor has bought a Tel Aviv building slated for preservation at 48 Lilenblum Street for NIS 14.5 million. The property, built in 1936 in the International Style (Bauhaus), was used by a government ministry in the years after independence and then as the second branch of Mizrahi Tefahot Bank (TASE:MZTF). Nadlanchik Boutique Real Estate Ltd. was the agency that brokered the deal.
The three-floor building has 1,600 square meters plus 190 square meters of unused building rights. The Urban Building Plan zones the property for offices. The building was designed by Dr. Alexander Friedman and is characteristic of Tel Aviv's White City that was prevalent during British Mandate period of the 1920s and 1930s.
