Intel integrates N-Trig in mobile platform

Intel's unveiled the concept for its new laptop at its annual developers forum.

After securing $41 million in investment commitments at the beginning of the year, and signing a marketing agreement with computer company Dell Inc. (Nasdaq: DELL), computer technology startup N-Trig Ltd. has announced yet another achievement. The company, which develops touch screen technology, has signed a collaboration agreement with Intel Corporation (Nasdaq: INTC) under which the company's DuoSense technology combining pen and zero-pressure touch for portable and desktop computers will be featured in Intel's new UrbanMax mobile computer.

Intel unveiled the new computer last week at its annual developer forum in San Francisco. The UrbanMax has an 11.1 inch wide display and is one inch thick. N-trig’s DuoSense digitizer, which will be used in the UrbanMax, is a batteryless pen, which will effectively replace the mouse with the human finger.
