The project, ordered by the Israel Police, will encompass 5,000 schools nationwide.
Synel Industries Ltd. (TASE: SNEL) (Synel-MLL Payway) has won a NIS 1 million project to install a presence reporting system for school guards. The project, ordered by the Israel Police, will encompass 5,000 schools nationwide with the goal of ensuring the manning of schools by guards hired by 180 local authorities from dozens of guard companies. Synel develops and produces workforce management data collection systems and solutions.
The system has already been installed at 100 schools and the rest is due to be installed over the next three months. Guards will report by special telephones at the schools, dialing to a call center that Synel is setting up. The system identifies the guard and the school, and registers his or her presence on site in real time.
The system can also send automatic SMS reports to supervisors at the guard companies, school security officers, and to the police in the event that a guard is not present or has abandoned his post.
