Diet Coke launches widget-based ad campaign

The campaign will use virtual images that will be listed on Facebook.

Diet Coke is launching a unique Internet activity based on widget technology. A widget is a kind of mini-window that is becoming increasingly popular worldwide for inserting video content on websites. The ad campaign will use the Coca-Cola slogan, "Take full advantage of each day, do what feels good." The idea is to remind surfers of what make them feels good.

The widget can be installed the surfer's computer. It presents video clips aimed at reminding surfers of the small moments of pleasure in life. Diet Coke chose Israeli models Tal Shomron and Liron Strauss to lead the ad campaign. The surfer can pick the virtual image that will appear on his or her computer screen and it won't interfere with other usage, and can pick the time of day to receive the reminder with the small tip of pleasure.

the characters will be world of content. Each will have a Facebook account. The surfers will receive daily updates on the images' activities that resemble the updates that surfers put in Facebook.
