There are quite a few new faces in Amdocs Ltd.'s (NYSE: DOX) management ranks, and half of the company's senior management four in all only joined Amdocs recently. Amdocs CEO Dov Baharav sent two letters, seen by "Globes", in which he presents Amdocs' new senior management team, and bids farewell to Guy Dubois, who was the company's second-in-command. Dubois had previously been CEO of Cramer Systems, which Amdocs acquired two years ago, and served as head of the products business division.
So who are the new faces at Amdocs? In a letter sent several weeks ago by Baharav entitled "Announcing Organizational Changes to Extend our Market Leadership" he wrote about the new team. "I am proud to introduce our new, dynamic senior management team and our future organizational structure." He also notes, "I am very encouraged by the team's talent, experience and deep expertise across a diversity of backgrounds. And I am confident they will ensure we execute against our vision, deliver on our business objectives and lead us in building a better Amdocs."
Three of the four new faces have been promoted from inside the ranks of Amdocs. For example, Ayal Shiran, who will now serve as head of the new unified Amdocs Customer Business Group. Shiran joins the senior management team after four years with the company. Shuky Sheffer will serve as his deputy and take overall responsibility for activities in emerging markets. The new customer division will also include consulting services headed by Rick Matthews.
Another new appointment is of Yona Ovadia, who will head the Managed Services Group, which is responsible for outsourcing services. Ovadia is a company veteran who has been at Amdocs for more than 20 years. He will also be responsible for the accounts of two of Amdocs' largest clients AT&T and Bell Canada.
A further senior management appointment at Amdocs is of Michael Bricker, who becomes General Counsel, having been with Amdocs since 1998. Amdocs has also strengthened its team by bringing in a new player, Jim Liang, who joins from IBM and who will be responsible for strategy and corporate development. Liang will be in charge of all activities related to mergers and acquisitions. He is already familiar with Amdocs, having previously served as a senior investment consultant on technology with Morgan Stanley, advising clients, including Amdocs, on their mergers and acquisitions.
Shiran, Ovadia, Bricker and Liang will join Baharav, CFO Tamar Rapaport Dagim, Head of Delivery Group Shalom Passy and Head of Human Resources Naama Maidan Gilead on Amdocs' senior management team.
Dubois was considered an heir to Baharav. In a recent letter, Baharav wrote that Zvika Naggan, who had been deputy manager under Dubois, would take his place as head of the product business group.
Amdocs said, "The company has a senior management team, which is dynamic and experienced, and will also successfully lead the company in the future to impressive performance, growth, and profitability."
Amdocs is engaged in billing and developing customer service and management systems and has a market value of $5.78 billion on the NYSE. Its shares closed at $28 on Friday.
