Dell launches new notebooks in Israel

The new range allows near-instant access to email, calendar, attachments, contacts and even the web without the need to boot the system's main operating system.

Computer maker Dell Inc. (Nasdaq: DELL) has launched its latest range of laptops in Israel, following their worldwide launch. Despite company reports in recent weeks of a weakening in demand for laptops, Dell Israel has sounded a more optimistic note. Dell Israel country manager Ra'anan Biber said, "Dell has continued to grow this year, and is now ranked second in Israel for sales of PCs laptops, and servers, according to IDC data.

Dell's new range of laptops - Latitude, will replace the current D series sold until now. The new range, which is designed for businesses, includes two ultra-light models - the E4200 which weighs one kilogram and has a 12.1 inch screen, and the E4300, which comes with a 13.3 inch screen and weighs 1.54 kilograms.

Dell Israel notes that the new range of laptops come with the Latitude On technology, which allows near-instant access to email, calendar, attachments, contacts and even the web without the need to boot the system's main operating system.
