Website developer Websplanet Ltd. has raised $500,000 at a company value of $8 million, through the exercise of options by Igal Ahouvi and other private investors. The company has raised just over $2 million to date.
Websplanet CEO Guy Karolizki, VP business development Moshe Livne, Sharon Tal, and Prahad Iskandarov founded the company in 2004. The company's platform enables website developers, graphic designers, and Internet service providers to quickly, easily, and effectively build and manage websites for their clients.
Websplanet says that its services facilitate the building of dynamic websites and that its infrastructure underlies more than 20,000 sites of Israeli businesses as well as tens of thousands of sites worldwide. The Tel Aviv-based company has 15 employees. Customers include Golden Pages Ltd., an investor in the company, and Tahiti-based Asian-African communications agency Group 2H.
Karolizki said, "In the past few months, we've substantially increased the number of customers, broadened our basket of services and solutions offered to them, and significantly upgraded the building of websites and management of content in Israel."
