Runcom ranked top in Deloitte Brightman Almagor's Fast 50

The semiconductor company received the 2008 award for its remarkable growth between 2003 and 2007.

Semiconductor company Runcom Technologies Ltd. has today been awarded first place in Israeli accountancy firm Deloitte Brightman Almagor's Fast 50 competition, which ranks the fastest growing technology companies in Israel. Runcom was ranked first after enjoying sales growth of 8,499% between 2003 and 2007. The ranking relates to past growth and does not indicate what future growth might be.

Runcom produces chips for mobile phones using WiMAX technology and boards for infrastructure equipment. In the previous two Fast 50 competitions Runcom was ranked third.

Voltaire Ltd. which provides grid backbone solutions for networked computing, was ranked second with growth of 4,405% over the past five years. Voltaire is traded at a market cap of $62 million. In third place was GigaSpaces Technologies, which develops platforms for application servers and had growth of 4,294%. The best young company was SweetIm, which develops instant messenger content.
