Israel men tennis players' earnings up 72%

Yet Shahar Peer remains the top overall earner among Israelis of either gender.

Andy Ram is Israel's top-earning male tennis player this year, with $502,000, followed by Yoni Ehrlich with $439,000 and David Sela with $309,000. Israel's top three tennis players have earned $1.2 million altogether this year, 72% more than in 2007.

Shahar Peer is still the top-earning woman Israeli tennis player, with $560,000, despite falling 21 places in the rankings, to 38th place.
