iamba develops Gigabit Passive Optical Networking solutions.
Marvell Technology Group (Nasdaq: MRVL) today acquired Israeli start-up iamba Networks Inc., which develops Gigabit Passive Optical Networking (GPON) solutions, for $10 million.
In May, Kfar Saba-based iamba raised $7 million from Pitango Venture Capital, Cedar Fund, Giza Venture Capital, and Kreos Capital. The company was founded in 2000, and raised $32 million. The company's president and CEO is Moshe Nattiv.
