Bar-On: "Brosh is Netanyahu's puppet." Brosh: "The finance minister is sitting and doing nothing."
"[Manufacturers Association president] Shraga Brosh is [Likud MK Benjamin] Netanyahu's puppet and an expert panic-monger. His only goal is to support Netanyahu's election campaign, even at the expense of Israel's industry and economy, said Minister of Finance Ronnie Bar-On today in response to Brosh's attacks against him.
Brosh said, "The finance minister is sitting and doing nothing. I can't rely on the finance minister. I don’t believe that he will provide more oxygen to the economy when the crisis worsens, because that's a process that will take years."
Brosh expressed his support of Netanyahu when he said that Netanyahu would be a prime minister who take significant measures to support the economy. Brosh said, "The problem is that we can't wait until Netanyahu is prime minister. A new government, in the best case, will only be formed in April or May 2009. We need the measures now."
