Xfone Communications Ltd. (TASE:XFN) formally launched its fast Internet services today.
It continues a low-price and low profit strategy in order to build market share. As in the launch of its fixed-line telephone services, its prices are well below those of its competitors.
The monthly fee for Internet access at 1.5 Mbps is NIS 29, compared with around NIS 50 at its competitors. Customers who commit to the service for 1 year can lower the rate to NIS 22.
The company also intends to offer package deals, including Internet and fixed-line telephone services.
