The news site has bought an Internet games site.
"Yediot Ahronot" news site ynet has acquired Net Games Ltd. for NIS 4 million. Net Games, founded in 2004, offers more than 1,000 online games for free, divided into categories, such as children's games, sports games, and board games.
Some games can be played on-site, while other have to be installed on the user's computer. Games can be played against other players. Net Games targets young users, a market where ynet is weaker than its competitor Walla Communications Ltd. (TASE: WALA).
ynet CEO Avi Ben-Tal said, "ynet has acquired Net Games, which gives us access to new markets with the goal of diversifying our services and to attract younger surfers."
