Shamrock mulls Cinema City stake

The Cinema City mall complex includes 23 cinemas, a convention center, restaurants, and an education center.

Sources inform ''Globes'' that Shamrock Holdings, the investment arm of Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS), is considering acquiring a 25% stake in New Lineo Cinema (2006) Ltd., the developer of Cinema City at Glilot Junction in Ramat Hasharon.

New Lineo Cinema is owned by United King Holdings Ltd., owned by Moshe and Leon Edery, Mazal Sivan Investments and Properties Ltd., owned by Yaakov Cohen, and a French company, Metropolitan.

The Cinema City mall complex includes 23 cinemas, a convention center, restaurants, and an education center. Its turnover is estimated at several tens of millions of shekels a year.
