The $200 million mall will save water and use alternative energy sources.
Lahav Group plans to use environmentally friendly principles in the construction of its $200 million 40,000-square meter mall on a 50-dunam (12.5-acre) site at Neot Midbar in Beersheva. Atia Assets and Investments Ltd. is marketing the mall. Atia Assets CEO Shmuel Atia said that the mall would also meet the needs of the community.
The mall will be the largest in the Negev, and will include an 8,000-square meter games park and 1,800 parking spaces.
Atia said, "The mall will be unique in terms of community services. In North America, they've begun integrating the community with the element of entertainment, and we've imported this model." He added, "We'll also apply green construction, by saving water, and the use of treated wastewater, as well as using alternative energy."
