Classified ads website WinWin, a unit of the "Yediot Ahronot" Hebrew-language news portal ynet, has revamped its site. The move comes two years after WinWin came on online, and is aimed at the site's main competitor, Yad2
WinWin's new design keeps the colors of its previous version. The homepage serves as the reception area, displaying content on the classified ads pages, including cars, apartments, pets, second-hand objects, and a link to ynet's jobs portal, yjobs.
WinWin's new site also has links between content on ynet and various categories at WinWin. Its internal search engines have many search options targeting audiences seeking good deals on various items. The apartment ads page also offers search opens via a map, where the surfer can mark the sought-after area.
WinWin's site includes an index, a kind of online survey, which displays prominent trends on each of the classified ads pages, such as the which car model had the most sales, or the average price of apartments.
ynet VP Yaron Acher, who oversees WinWin, said, "An online product should meet the basic need provided by corresponding offline products, and to provide smart use of some of the new tools made possible by the digital product. I believe that we succeeded in achieving this."
WinWin faces tough competition. A month ago, Yad2 launched a free pricelist of used cars aimed at competing against the pricelist of Levy Yitzhak, which collaborates with WinWin. Sources close to Yad2 make sure to mention the new features that will soon be launched on the site, and to promise its continued dominance.
The TIM survey for December 2008 ranked Yad2 in 12th place, with a weekly exposure rate of 19.3%. The survey did not cover WinWin.
