Product monitoring co MyThings buys ViewScore

Text analysis firm ViewScore is now one of MyThings' things.

Israeli start-up MyThings Inc. is acquiring another Israeli start-up, product information and review site ViewScore Ltd. The company did not disclose the amount, but it reportedly amounted to a few hundred thousand dollars.

MyThings was founded in 2004 by Benny Arbel. The company's online platform enables users to monitor, organize, and manage their assets on a single site, in order to facilitate price comparisons, valuations, insurance, or a sale on eBay.

ViewScore has developed text analysis technology that helps users decide on purchases, rate, and aggregate product reviews, and make product comparisons.

Arbel told "Globes", "The integration of ViewScore's technology with our company enables the creation of new and exciting solutions for MyThings' users. It will increase the number of surfers making online purchases at retail sites."

MyThings has raised $13 million to date. It closed its second financing round at $5 million three months ago. DotCorp Asset Management and GP Bullhound Sidecar led the round, joined by Israeli funds Carmel Ventures and Accel Partners.
