Champion Motors to market new ministers' car

The luxury Skoda Superb model will be the next ministerial car.

Volkswagen importer Champion Motors Ltd. today began marketing of the Skoda Superb, which will be one of the two car models for ministers, in addition to the Audi A6. Both new ministers and ministers who already received the previous models will be able to receive new models, subject to considerations of the Government Vehicles Administration.

The 2009 Skoda Superb has the same dimensions as previous models, although its wheel base is slightly shorter. The rear door can be opened as either the trunk door as in a sedan, or as a single unit as in a hatchback. The interior and seating of latest model is more luxurious than previous models, and includes seven to nine airbags, depending on the level of finishing.

Champion Motors will market several various of the Skoda Superb, which has a 1.8-liter 160 horsepower gasoline engine. Models of the car will cost NIS 158,000-173,000.

Under the terms of the new tender, ministers will receive the upgraded Skoda Superb, with a 260-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine. This version emits double the amount of carbon dioxide than the 1.8-liter engine model, and will cost NIS 230,000, including leather seats and luxury finishing.
