Tel Aviv residents gain real-time information on their payment status.
Ness Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: NSTC) has completed a NIS 80 million billing and collection project for municipal taxes (arnona) and water for the Tel Aviv-Jaffa municipality. The system came on line in early January. It is based on SAP solutions, and will become the basis of future municipality billing systems.
The new system is part of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa municipality project to enable residents to consolidate and obtain real-time information about their payment status.
100 Ness and 100 municipal employees worked on the project over 18 months.
In a separate development, Ness signed a full outsourcing agreement to provide computer services to the Tel Aviv Academic College. The three-year contract is worth NIS 9 million.
Ness's share rose 1% at the opening on Nasdaq to $3.19.
