The former head of Elbit Systems Electro-Optics Elop will become VP for engineering and technology excellence with the parent company.
Defense electronics firm Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) announced that Adi Dar will replace Haim Rousso as general manager at Elbit Systems Electro-Optics Elop Ltd. ("Elop").
Rousso will become Elbit Systems Ltd.'s executive vice president for engineering and technology excellence. He served as Elop general manager since 2000.
Dar has served as Elop's Vice President for Business Development since 2006. He joined Elbit in 2002.
Elbit Systems president and CEO Joseph Ackeman said, "Under Haim Rousso's leadership Elop has expanded upon its world leading position in the electro-optics and space markets, and we are very pleased that he will continue to contribute to the entire Elbit Systems' organization his vast experience in complex engineering and development projects." He also said that Dar's appointment "underscores his contribution to Elop's success in recent years."
