Optimet is supplying 3D measuring solutions as part of a strategic cooperation agreement.
Ophir Optronics Ltd. (TASE:OPIR) unit Optimet has begun deliveries of its 3D measuring solutions, under a three-year $27 million contract.
The deliveries are being made as part of an exclusive strategic cooperation agreement with the customer signed last year. Optimet develops and manufactures the systems, which are based on proprietary technology.
Jerusalem-based Ophir Optronics development and manufactures infrared optics and laser measurement equipment. The company's products are designed for the automotive, aerospace, steel, microelectronics, LCD in-process inspection, and dental CAD/CAM industries. The company has production plants in Massachusetts and Utah in the US, and sales offices in the US, Japan and Europe.
Ophir Optronics' share rose 9.4% to NIS 14.20 in morning trading today.
