Dead Sea airstrip to be refurbished

Return flights from Tel Aviv will cost about NIS 500.

The Tamar Regional Council has invested NIS 5 million to refurbish the Bar Yehuda Airstrip at Massada by the Dead Sea. After the month-long refurbishment, the airfield will be able to handle planes with up to 50 seats, such as are operated on the Tel Aviv-Eilat route.

A flight from Tel Aviv to the Dead Sea will take about 20 minutes and a round-trip fare will cost about NIS 500.
