A new 161-room four-star hotel will be built on the site.
The Tel Aviv Regional Planning and Building Commission has deposited a plan by Prima Hotels Israel Ltd. to demolish the Astor Hotel in Tel Aviv and build a new hotel on the site. The four-star seafront six-storey Astor Hotel at the corner of Hayarkon Street and Frishman Street has 60 rooms. The new 22-storey hotel will have 161 rooms.
The 1,050-square meter lot has building rights for 6,300 square meters of main space above the entrance floor, 700 square meters of main place below the entrance floor, 710 square meters of balconies, and 450 square meters slated for a covered swimming pool.
Prima Hotels has more than 1,000 rooms in eight hotels located in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Eilat, Tiberias, and at the Dead Sea.
