Ron Lauder considers selling Channel 10 stake

Yossi Maiman who already owns 51% of Channel 10 could buy Lauder's share.

Sources inform "Globes" that Ron Lauder is considering selling his 24.5% stake in Channel 10 to Yossi Maiman who already owns 51% of the commercial TV station. Spokespeople for both Lauder and Maiman were not prepared to comment.

Lauder is mulling the sale following a meeting last night between the heads of Channel 10 and Maiman. Tomorrow Israel's Second TV and Radio Authority will hold an urgent meeting on the future of Channel 10 with the real possibility that a new tender will be issued for operating the commercial TV station. Lauder has refused to put any more capital into Channel 10 and his buyout could pave the way for greater investment by Maiman.

Channel 10's other shareholders are Rupert Murdoch (10%) and Arnon Milchan (14.5%).
