International TechneGroup Incorporated (ITI) has acquired Proficiency, which develops, produces and markets feature based CAD data translation software. Ohio-based ITI develops products and services for seamless data exchange between dissimilar systems.
Proficiency’s Collaboration Gateway technology will continue to be offered through the ITI TranscenData business, providing the automated re-mastering of parametric CAD data from one CAD system into another, including all of the features, sketches, parameters and constraints, manufacturing info, metadata and assembly information.
The Proficiency technology was introduced to the global market in 1998. The company’s operations included locations in US, Germany, France and Israel. The R&D headquarters of Proficiency, now located in Tel Aviv continues to be the key resource for development of this industry leading solution. Global enterprises in the automotive, aerospace, defense and heavy machinery industries, such as Daimler, Ford, Boeing, Goodrich and Honeywell use Proficiency’s technology.
