"Globes" named the biofunctional ingredients supplements maker one of Israel's most promising start-ups for 2007-08.
Enzymotec Ltd., a producer of biofunctional ingredients supplements, has opened a new plant at the Sagi 2000 industrial park in Migdal Ha'Emek at an investment of NIS 100 million. The company said that the plant will create more than 100 production, engineering, and R&D jobs. The plant will be inaugurated next week in the presence of President Shimon Peres.
Enzymotec owners include Galam Ltd. of Kibbutz Maanit, Ofer Hi Tech Ltd., Millennium Material Technologies Fund, and Mexico's Arancia Industrial SA de CV. The company was founded at Ofer Hi-Tech's Naiot Venture Accelerator in Nazareth with three employees. It now has scores of workers. "Globes" named it one of Israel's most promising start-ups for 2007-08.
Enzymotec's new plant is located on a ten-dunam (2.5-acre) lot. It includes a production line, laboratories, and offices. The company also has facilities in India and Sweden.
