Ynet mulls employment website stake

Alljobs has a 39% weekly exposure rate.

Hebrew daily "Yediot Ahronot's" website ynet is in talks to acquire a majority stake in job search portal Alljobs Ltd. Sources close to the talks say that ynet is prepared to pay NIS 30 million for 75% of Alljobs.

Alljobs said in response, "We're in the negotiations stage, which has already been in the news. If a deal is closed, we'll announce it."

ynet declined to comment on the report.

In late 2007, Russian online jobseeker company Headhunter acquired 20% of Alljobs at a company value of NIS 50 million in cash. Headhunter subsequently gradually increased its stake to 75%, which ynet now wants to buy. Ynet already has its own jobs portal, yjobs.

According to the TIM Internet rating survey of Israeli website for July 2008, Dorshim is the most popular jobs portal, with a 46% weekly exposure rate, followed by Alljobs, with 39%, and Yad2, and Jobnet with 36% each. Yjob's weekly exposure rate was 26%.
