The defense contractor will supply high-speed radio and data transmission communication systems in 2010-12.
Defense contractor Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) has won a €17 million contract to supply high-speed radio and data transmission communication systems to Finland's Ministry of Defense. Elbit Systems Land and C4I Tadiran will deliver the systems in 2010-12.
Elbit Systems Land and C4I Tadiran general manager Bezhalel Machlis said, : "We hope that this contract will be followed by additional orders from both Finland as well as NATO countries and will further strengthen our position as a leading supplier of innovative radio systems worldwide."
Elbit Systems' share closed at $63.16 on Nasdaq yesterday, giving a market cap of $2.67 billion. The share rose 2.6% by mid-afternoon on the TASE today to NIS 248.20.
