Azrieli to open Gap store in Tel Aviv

Gap will open its first store in Israel in a few days, in Jerusalem's Mamilla Mall, owned by Alrov (Israel) Ltd.

Sources inform ''Globes'' that GAP Inc. (NYSE: GPS) will open a store in the Azrieli Mall in Tel Aviv in February 2010. The 600-square meter store will sell clothing for women, men, children, and infants.

The store will occupy part of the space currently occupied by fashion chain Mango, a unit of Azrieli Group competitor Elbit Imaging Ltd. (Nasdaq: EMITF; TASE: EMIT), and two other fashion chains - Lucci and MAC - which will move to other premises at the mall.

The sources added that Azrieli Group yesterday signed a strategic agreement with Elbit Imaging subsidiary Elbit Trade and Retail Ltd. to open the Gap store at the Azrieli Mall.

Gap will open its first store in Israel in a few days, in Jerusalem's Mamilla Mall, owned by Alrov (Israel) Ltd. (TASE: ALRO) and is scheduled to open a second store in Herzliya.
