Perfecto Mobile raises $7m

The company develops remote access and automated testing solutions for mobile devices.

Perfecto Mobile Ltd., a developer of remote access and automated testing solutions for mobile devices, has raised $7 million its second financing round from current investors Carmel Holdings Ltd. (TASE:CRHO) and Vertex Venture Capital. The company will use proceeds from the round to expand its Handset Cloud testing service and to expand its marketing and sales.

The financing round doubles the amount of money that the company has raised since it was founded in 2006 to $14 million. Today's announcement was the company's first since it changed its name from NexPerience two months ago

The burgeoning popularity of smart phones has launched a boom in technology initiatives designed to support the surfeit of information and applications that will change the functionality of handset from mere telephones to entertainment and content devices. Each new development involves a three-way game between the handset manufacturers, service providers, and infrastructure and software developers. The result is a difficult task to adapt and coordinate handsets to all the different applications.

Perfecto Mobile CEO Eran Yaniv, CTO Yoram Mizrachi, and VP business development Jacky Allal founded the company. The company's Internet platform can remote test applications designed for mobile environments.

Perfecto Mobile's customers include Vodafone plc and Swisscom AG.

Carmel Partners general partner Rina Shainski said, "We are confident in Perfecto Mobile's ability to take advantage of the big and growing market it approaches.
