Tax revenues totaled NIS 14 billion in October.
Estimates by the Ministry of Finance Accountant General's Office indicate a fiscal deficit of NIS 2.6 billion in October 2009. The deficit in January-October was NIS 24.5 billion. The 2009 fiscal deficit target in the budget is NIS 44.4 billion.
Spending by ministries in October was NIS 15.8 billion, 8% less than the monthly average in the third quarter. Spending by ministries totaled NIS 158.6 billion in January-October, 6% more than in the corresponding months of 2008.
Tax revenues totaled NIS 14 billion in October, compared with NIS 13.9 billion in October 2008. Tax revenues totaled NIS 146.5 billion in January-October, 84.7% of the original projection in the 2009 budget. Tax revenues totaled NIS 157 billion in the corresponding months of 2008.
