Mercedes-Benz importer Colmobil Group has begun marketing upgraded S-Class series cars in Israel with hybrid engines.
The Mercedes S400 hybrid is equipped with a system that combines a V6 3.5 liter engine and an electric motor with a relatively modest supply system. The car uses an average of 12.6 kilometers per liter of gasoline and has a C02 emission of 186 grams per kilometer, the equivalent of a regular family saloon car.
The car has an automatic seven speed gearbox and can reach from zero to 100 kilometers an hour within 7.3 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kilometers an hour. The price in Israel will be NIS 870,000.
All Mercedes other models have undergone small external and internal design changes and improvements to the engine and fuel consumption. The new S350 will cost NIS 815,000 and the extended S500 sedan will cost NIS 985,000.
