Fewer Israelis consider apartment purchase

For the first time in months, three-month moving trend figures also show a drop in planned home purchases.

The November 2009 Israeli Consumer Confidence Index found that 7.7% of Israelis plan to buy a new or second-hand apartment, down from 10% in October. For the first time in months, three-month moving trend figures also show a drop in planned home purchases, falling to 8.5% of respondents in November, down from a peak of 10.3% in October.

The Consumer Confidence Index, compiled by Globes Research and Kesselman and Kesselman - PricewaterhouseCoopers Israel, also found that Israelis' apartment buying plans have been fluctuating for months, although until November, the trend figure had been rising.
