Online video recommendation start-up Jinni Media Inc. has raised $1.6 million in its first financing round, led by DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures. The company previously raised capital from Start-Up Factory.
Jinni has developed a search engine, called "Taste Engine", which provides recommendations for movies and television programs based on analyzing a user's preferences. The content is available via television, cinema, online, and mobile.
