For the first time in Israel, only one person won Mifal Hapayis Israel National Lottery double lotto jackpot of NIS 74 million in yesterday's drawing. This is largest lotto prize ever won in Israel. The win came after 22 consecutive weeks without a winner.
The jackpot winner has not yet claimed his prize, and his identity is still unknown. Mifal Hapayis said that if the winner arrives today to collect the prize, that the check will be issued by Wednesday.
The second place winner in yesterday's drawing won NIS 4 million, and 20 other winners won NIS 14,804 each.
The winning numbers were: 6, 8, 14, 21, 23, 24, and the additional number, 7.
The winner will pay 25% tax on his winnings, leaving him with a net NIS 55 million, which he must receive in a single installment.
