Ministry of Finance Accountant General Shuki Oren today appointed Senior Deputy Accountant General Sigalit Sayag to head the ministry's representative office in New York and the North America economic delegation. Sayag will be responsible for relations with rating companies, foreign banks and investment houses, and investors in Israeli government bonds.
Sayag will also be responsible for the Ministry of Finance's relations with Development Corporation for Israel/State of Israel Bonds, as well as the ministry's financial control system with the US, which handles, among other things, payments on Israeli government bonds and activity of the North America economic delegation.
Sayag will replace Zvi Halamish, who is completing his five-year term as the Ministry of Finance representative in New York.
Sayag (43), a CPA, has a BA in economics and accounting and an MBA from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
