Bet Shemesh Engines in $25m Boeing contract

Bet Shemesh Engines: The Boeing 787 project continues the product line for components for the Airbus 320 and Embraer170-190 passenger jets.

Bet Shemesh Engines Ltd. (TASE: BSEN) has signed a $25 million contract with global aerospace components maker Hamilton Sundstrand Inc. to manufacture turbines for engines to generate electricity for Boeing 787 Dreamliner passenger jets. The ten-year contract is through 2019.

Bet Shemesh Engines said the project continues its product line for components for the Airbus 320 and Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica SA (NYSE: ERJ; Bovespa: EMBR3) (Embraer)170-190 passenger jets.

IDB Holding Corp. Ltd. (TASE:IDBH) unit Clal Industries and Investments Ltd. (TASE: CII) owns 36% of Bet Shemesh Engines and company president and CEO Avner Shacham owns 27%. Bet Shemesh's share rose 0.2% today to NIS 6.73, giving a market cap of NIS 45 million.
