On March 21st, "Globes" will host its annual Real Estate Conference at the Dan Panorma Hotel in Tel Aviv. The conference will present leading figures in Israel's real estate industry, including executives and builders, as well as politicians and investors.
The conference will be held mostly in Hebrew, without a simulcast translation.
The opening session will be addressed, in English, by New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) president Marc Jahr. Jahr will discuss affordable housing financing.
The New York City HDC is the largest issuer of bonds for multi-family affordable housing in the US. HDC is responsible for financing the creation and preservation of affordable housing within the five boroughs of New York City. The financing is in the form of low-cost mortgages made through the sale of tax-exempt and taxable bonds.
The opening session, moderated by "Globes" correspondent Moshe Lichtman, will also bring together Mizrahi Tefahot Bank (TASE:MZTF) CEO Eli Yones, Fishman Holdings head Eliezer Fishman, and Gazit-Globe Ltd. (TASE: GLOB) chairman Haim Katzman. Eliezer Fishman is the controlling shareholder in “Globes”.
Topics that will be covered at the conference range from contractors turning once again to capital markets, as opposed to banks, for funding, Prime Minister Netanyahu's ambitious transportation infrastructure plan, the future direction of housing prices, and government efforts to help young couples.
Minister of Housing and Construction Ariel Atias will attend the conference.
