Ness wins $4m Israeli healthcare contract

Ness will provide outsourcing services to Clalit Health Services.

IT integrator Ness Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: NSTC; TASE: NSTC) has won a NIS 16 million (more than $4 million) four-year outsourcing contract to provide around-the-clock help desk services to Clalit Health Services. The contract can be extended for up to four more years. Clalit is Israel's largest healthcare management organization (HMO) and one of the largest HMOs worldwide.

Clalit has been a Ness customer since 2002.

Ness will provide the services through an IT client service center, which will be located at Ness. The center will serve thousands of Clalit employees and will be the single point of contact at Clalit's IT division for its headquarters units, fourteen hospitals, and eight districts, as well as private pharmacies that work with it. The center will provide a variety of solutions, including expert support of unique healthcare applications and support for hardware failures.

Ness' share price fell 1.1% on Nasdaq on Friday to $4.57, giving a market cap of $175 million, but the share rose 4.2% by midday on the TASE today to NIS 18.54.
