The Israel Sports Betting Board's revenue was just 3% more than the 2006 World Cup.
The Israel Sports Betting Board reported a NIS 210 million reveneue from the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, just 3% more than it made from the 2006 World Cup in Germany. The Sports Betting Board predicted NIS 205 million revenue.
The Sports Betting Board made NIS 12 million on yesterday's final between Spain and the Netherlands, which Spain won 1:0.
Toto Winner said that customers' returns were 65-70%. "In addition to the fact that the World Cup is a winner for us, we added 7,000 new customers, who opened accounts on our website," said Toto Winner CEO Ofer Perry. "The investment in new games has proven itself."
Toto Winner expects NIS 1.6 billion revenue in 2010, up from NIS 1.36 billion in 2009, but barely changed from NIS 1.56 billion in 2008 and 2007.
