Juice co Prigat recalls herbal beverages

The company cited possible sediment residue in some bottles.

Juice maker Prigat, owned by Gat Foods Ltd. and Israel Beer Breweries Ltd., has recalled herbal beverages, due to possible sediment residue in some bottles. The beverages therefore do not meet the company's quality standards.

Prigat said that the beverages are safe to drink. However, "company responsibility to its consumers requires us to collect these products from store shelves and issue a public statement."

Anyone with a Prigat herbal beverage in half liter or 1.5-liter bottles manufactured on June 27-30 or July 1, is invited to return the product to the point of sale to receive a replacement Prigat product. Consumers can also call 1-800-335522.
