Virtualization co ScaleMP raises $2.4m

Investors include Evolution Venture Capital, former BMC Software VP Dan Barnea, and other private investors.

Virtualization solutions start-up ScaleMP Inc. has raised $2.4 million in its fifth financing round, Israel Venture Capital Resource Center (IVC) reports. Investors include Evolution Venture Capital, former BMC Software VP Dan Barnea, and other private investors.

ScaleMP, founded in 2002, develops virtualization solutions for large servers. It has 40 employees, and has raised $28 million to date, including the present round. The previous round in 2008 was led by Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed Ventures.
