The latest version of the Mazda 5 minivan will not be available in Israel before January 2011, and the brand's competitors are preparing to fill the void. Delek Automotive Systems Ltd. (TASE: DLEA) imports Mazda.
This week, Peugeot-Citroen importer David Lubinski Ltd. began taking orders for the new Peugeot 5008 minivan, with deliveries beginning in October. The seven-seat minivan will have a 1.6-liter 156 horsepower turbo engine and a six-gear automatic transmission.
The Peugeot 5008 will cost NIS 170,000 for the Premium version. A panoramic sunroof is offered at extra cost.
The Peugeot 5008 will also offer comprehensive accessories, including a head-up display of critical information on the driver's field-of-view, a road computer, sound system controlled from the steering wheel and six speakers. The minivan is 4.53 meters long, 1.84 meters wide, and 1.63 meters high. The wheel base is 2.73 meters.
