The average salary in June rose to NIS 8,469.
The average Israeli salary in June rose 1.62% to NIS 8,469 from NIS 8,334 in May the Central Bureau of Statistics reported today.
The number of employees in the economy rose 1.9% in the first half of 2010 compared with the second half of 2009. The highest rise was reported in the banking sector where the number of employees rose 2.9% over this period.
The average salary rose 1.4% in the first half of 2010 compared with the second half of 2009 with the highest rise in the public administration sector where salaries rose 3.8% over this period.
