Israeli start-up RealMatch, a developer of an online recruitment platform, has raised $4.7 million in a second funding round. The round was led by Carmel Ventures.
Following the investment, Carmel Ventures partner Ronen Nir will join the board of RealMatch.
An existing investor, German fund Baytech Venture Capital, also participated in the round. Baytech invested $3 million in the previous round. The total investment in the company, including the current round, is $7.7 million.
RealMatch said it would use the proceeds to expand marketing and sales operations in the US.
In conjunction with the financing round, RealMatch appointed former Monster.com executive Marcel Legrand as its new CEO. At Monster.com, Legrand held several positions, including SVP product development and SVP strategy and corporate development.
At RealMatch's website, employers can post listings for free, review summarized resumes, and then only pay to view in full the most relevant resumes.
Legrand says that RealMatch's solution is groundbreaking, and can completely change the online employee recruiting market. He says that the solution saves a lot of time and money for recruiting organizations and for jobseekers.
