Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) will unveil its new simulator for command posts at the I/ITSEC in Florida tomorrow. I/ITSEC is the world's premier exhibition of simulators and training tools.
Elbit Systems will shortly supply the new simulator to the Royal Netherlands Army in a $10 million contract. The Netherlands is the first country to buy the system, after a similar system was delivered to the IDF.
Two years ago, Elbit Systems signed a $40 million contract with the Dutch Army for the supply of advanced battlefield management systems. The simulator enables training of forces using the battlefield management system, while slashing training costs and foregoing the need to activate the system for training purposes.
